In the last few years, Doussie has been playing an increasingly important role in Europe. Because of its medium-red caramel hue, it is often referred to as cherry. In contrast to other red woods though, its hue is less vibrant and dominant. Due to its cosiness and warmth it exudes a homely chara¬cter which allows it to combine well with wooden furniture and other materials. This is due to the wood’s elegant grain, which unfolds its unique character in sweeping and expansive waves and partially alternating spirals. Doussie parquet goes well with light earthy colours, light materials, beige covers as well as strong dark primary colours. This inherently stable wood is particularly suitable for use in flooring, bathrooms and outdoor terraces.
